August Training 2020

PLEASE READ. BY BOOKING A TRAINING SESSION WITH HSRC YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THE CLUBS AND CENTRES COVID 19 PROCEDURES. IF YOU SHOW ANY SYMPTONS KNOWN TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH COVID 19 DO NOT ATTEND A TRAINING SESSION AND IT IS ADVISED THAT A TEST IS OBTAINED ASAP.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Snow. The Snow centre and the Committee have been working hard to get training back up and running, and though lockdown is easing we must remain vigilant and responsible in following the guidelines issued.

As a club it is important that we follow the rules on social distancing and hygiene; if we do not do this we may be forced to close again. We ask you to please cooperate with centre staff and club officials regarding hand sanitising and flow through the centre.

Below you will find a list of rules which must be adhered to for your wellbeing and that of others. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ ALL OF THE RULES. We will be operating under new circumstances and therefore please be prepared for us to learn and adapt how we run sessions over the coming weeks. Please also be aware that changes may occur due to changing guidelines issued by SSE and the government.

General rules

· Face coverings should be worn in The Snow centre and on the snow. A neck snood (pulled up) is acceptable and perhaps easiest on snow.

· Temperature will be taken upon arrival at check in and if you have a temperature equal to or greater than 37.6 you will be asked to leave. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND A SESSION IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS.

· Only 1 adult to accompany a child into the centre. No siblings in the boot room though they can wait in the lodge upstairs.

· Children aged 12 and under must have an adult/appropriate guardian present in the centre.

· Please do not enter the centre  more than 30 min before your session starts unless ordering food in the lodge..

·        Arrive at The Snow centre dressed to ski (boots, gloves, helmets can be put on in boot room)

· All kit bags will be placed in the lockers, these are free to use and use a four-digit code to lock. Therefore, please make sure your kit bags hold only necessary items as the lockers are not huge.

· The lodge is open upstairs and tea and coffee can be purchased from here while you wait. Again, club members and those accompanying them are asked to wear masks throughout the centre.

 How will the session run

· · Check in on the ground floor, where your temperature will be taken.

· Proceed up to the boot room to collect equipment if needed and to boot up. Wait to be called onto the snow by your coach. Entry onto the Snow is via the right-hand doors.

· We will still run two sessions, 6-720 and 730-9. We have had to reduce the hours and create a clear gap to comply with cleaning guidelines and coach availability. Coaching ratio is set as 1:15.

· Groups will be set by us and you will not be allowed to change / move groups. We will do our best to group abilities together.

· Initially sessions will be  back to snow session so we do not expect to be using gates, this is at the coach’s discretion.

· Coaches will stagger exit from the snow in groups. You can meet your athlete in the boot room. However after collection you will need to go upstairs again, through the lodge and leave via the door in the far end of the  lodge and walk back through the car park.

We are excited to get the club up and running again and hope you can bear with us as we settle into our new way of working.

The booking system will be opened up on a weekly basis from August 11thEach session will close on Saturday afternoon/night. We are of course limited by numbers allowed on the slope but in fact more by coach availability. If a coach is unwell or unable to attend and a replacement cannot be found then we will have to cancel your session, and we can either move your session or refund if we have to. We may contact you to ask if you are able to move to the early session. During the back to snow lessons you will not be missing out on full gates. Thank you for your understanding.
